RO Reverse Osmosis Equipment generally consists of three parts: raw water pretreatment system, reverse osmosis purification system and ultra-purification post-treatment system. The main purpose of pretreatment is to make raw water meet the inlet water requirements of reverse osmosis membrane separation components and ensure the stable operation of the reverse osmosis purification system. The reverse osmosis membrane system is the most economical and efficient purification method to remove more than 98% of ions, organic matter and 100% of microorganisms (theoretically) in raw water at one time.
Reverse osmosis is the most precise membrane liquid separation technology. Operating pressure is applied on the inlet (concentrated solution) side to overcome the natural osmotic pressure. When the operating pressure higher than natural osmotic pressure is applied to the concentrated solution side, the natural flow direction of water molecules will be reversed. Part of the water molecules in the inlet (concentrated solution) pass through the reverse osmosis membrane to become purified product water on the dilute solution side. Reverse osmosis equipment can block all dissolved salts and organic matter with molecular weight greater than 100, while allowing water molecules to pass through. The desalination rate of reverse osmosis composite membrane is generally more than 98%. It is widely used in industrial pure water preparation, electronic ultra-pure water production, drinking purified water production, boiler feed water and other processes. The application of reverse osmosis equipment before ion exchange can greatly reduce the discharge of process water and wastewater.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology relies on pressure drive to separate water and ions for the purpose of purification and concentration. The process has no phase change, generally no heating required and low energy consumption. It has many advantages such as low operating cost, no pollution, simple operation, reliable operation and high produced water quality, making it the most energy-saving technology for seawater and brackish water desalination. It has been widely used in pharmaceutical, electronic, chemical, food, seawater desalination and many other industries. Reverse osmosis technology has become the preferred water treatment technology in modern industry and an important part of membrane separation technology.
