Primarily used to remove suspended solids from wastewater, reducing the load on subsequent advanced treatment processes and forming the foundation of the wastewater treatment process. The screen is the first "barrier," divided into coarse and fine screens. It intercepts large suspended solids such as fecal residue, straw, and plastic bags in the wastewater through its bars, preventing blockages in subsequent pipes and equipment. Commonly used screens include mechanical and manual screens. Large-scale farms often choose mechanical screens, which allow for automatic sludge removal and save labor costs.

Sedimentation tanks use the principle of gravity settling to separate suspended particles in wastewater. Commonly used in farms are horizontal flow sedimentation tanks, vertical flow sedimentation tanks, and inclined tube sedimentation tanks. Among these, inclined tube sedimentation tanks are more suitable for small and medium-sized farms due to their high sedimentation efficiency and small footprint. After sedimentation, the removal rate of suspended solids in wastewater can reach 60%-80%, achieving preliminary water purification. Solid-liquid separators can quickly separate solid pollutants such as feces from wastewater. The separated solid residue can be processed into organic fertilizer, achieving resource recycling.

  Biological Wastewater Treatment Equipment

Biological treatment is the core process for removing pollutants such as organic matter, nitrogen, and phosphorus from wastewater. For high-concentration organic wastewater like that from livestock farms, biological treatment equipment uses the metabolic action of microorganisms to decompose pollutants into harmless carbon dioxide and water. Commonly used biological treatment equipment includes integrated wastewater treatment equipment, anaerobic reactors, and aerobic aeration tanks. Integrated wastewater treatment equipment integrates pretreatment, biological treatment, and advanced treatment, offering advantages such as small footprint, simple operation, and high treatment efficiency. It is very suitable for small and medium-sized livestock farms and can be directly buried underground without affecting normal production activities.

Anaerobic reactors are suitable for treating high-concentration organic wastewater. In an anaerobic environment, anaerobic bacteria decompose organic matter into biogas, which can be used as a clean energy source, achieving energy recovery. This is suitable for large-scale livestock farms. Aerobic aeration tanks oxygenate the wastewater through aeration devices, cultivating aerobic microorganisms to efficiently decompose organic matter in the wastewater. The treated water meets discharge standards.

  Advanced Treatment and Disinfection Equipment

Even after biological treatment, wastewater may still contain small amounts of pollutants and pathogens, requiring further treatment to meet discharge standards or for reuse. Commonly used advanced treatment equipment includes water filtration equipment and ultrafiltration equipment, which can remove fine suspended solids and residual pollutants from wastewater, improving water quality. Disinfection equipment is used to kill bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens in wastewater. Commonly used equipment includes ultraviolet (UV) sterilizers and chlorine dioxide generators. UV sterilizers, in particular, have advantages such as high disinfection efficiency and no secondary pollution, and are widely used in wastewater treatment in livestock farms.
