         1. Project overview

  This project is a lead-zinc ore washing tail water treatment and recycling project of a mine in Gansu. It is a key supporting technical reform project for green production, water saving and consumption reduction, and environmental protection compliance in the mining area.A large amount of tailwater and wastewater will be generated during the production of lead-zinc ore washing. Traditional in-line discharge or simple precipitation treatment methods not only cause a lot of waste of water resources, but also easily cause environmental protection problems and restrict the normal production of mines.Combining the actual production scale and water demand of the Gansu mine, the wastewater treatment scale of this project is designed to be 1500 tons/day (1500T/D).The core goal of the project is to purify complex ore-washing sewage in a targeted manner, completely improve the chaotic water quality, achieve clear and odorless tail water, meet production standards, and build a closed-loop circulating water system for mine sewage to help the mine reduce costs and increase efficiency and comply with production.

  2. Raw water quality issues and project background

  The raw water to be treated in the Gansu mine is lead-zinc ore washing sewage. The water quality composition is complex and the pollution indicators are diverse. It is a typical high-pollution mine industrial wastewater, and the treatment difficulty is much higher than that of ordinary production wastewater.The sewage generated by the ore washing operation is mixed with a large amount of solid impurities such as sediment and slag, and the water body is seriously turbid, with poor appearance and high impurity content; at the same time, the mineral processing agents used in the ore washing process remain in the water body, superimposing organic matter and grease pollutants produced by ore scouring, resulting in complicated types of sewage pollutants, which cannot be thoroughly purified by simple filtration.

  In addition, there is a prominent problem of excessive pH value and alkalinity of the ore washing tail water. Long-term accumulation, discharge or reuse will corrode production pipelines and equipment, exacerbate equipment loss, and cause surrounding water and soil pollution.The original simple treatment equipment can only remove large particles of slag, cannot degrade pharmaceutical residues, grease and organic matter, and cannot regulate the alkaline water quality beyond the standard. The treated wastewater cannot be recycled, and the waste of water resources is serious.In order to solve the problem of water quality and realize the resource utilization of wastewater, customers urgently need a complete set of sewage treatment systems that are adapted to the complex working conditions of mines and have stable treatment effects.

  The whole system adopts the whole process of ”pre-filtration pretreatment + core purification treatment + terminal fine filtration + sludge dewatering".First, it is equipped with a self-cleaning filter to carry out front-end pretreatment, quickly intercept sediment, slag, and large particles of suspended solids in sewage, effectively reduce the turbidity of water bodies, and at the same time automatically clean and discharge sewage to avoid impurity accumulation and clogging the back-end equipment, and adapt to the continuous treatment conditions of high-impurity sewage in mines.

  The pretreated water body enters the core purification equipment of the air flotation machine, and uses high-efficiency air flotation separation technology to accurately peel off organic matter and oil suspension impurities in the water body, simultaneously remove most of the mineral processing agent residues, and solve the core problems of turbidity, heterochromia, oil pollution and odor of the water body from the root cause.Then, the activated carbon filter is deeply adsorbed to completely trap the residual trace amounts of agents, organic matter and odor substances in the water body, and further purify the water quality.

  The end of the water purification is equipped with a large-flow precision filter, which finely intercepts fine suspended solids to ensure that the water is clear and translucent, and the water quality is uniform and stable.At the same time, it is equipped with a screw stacking machine to dehydrate and cure the slag sludge and precipitated impurities generated by the whole process, realize solid-liquid separation, and eliminate secondary sludge pollution.   4. the treatment effect

  After the project completes the installation of equipment, pipeline docking, system commissioning and adaptation of working conditions, the entire sewage treatment system is officially put into continuous operation, which is perfectly adapted to the 1500T/D daily treatment needs of Gansu mines.   After the collaborative treatment of multi-stage processes, the residues of sediment slag, organic grease, and mineral processing agents in the ore washing sewage were completely removed, and the problem of excessive alkalinity of the water body was effectively corrected.The final effluent water quality is clear and translucent, with no color or odor. The water quality indicators are fully in line with the mine production and reuse standards, and can be directly reused in the ore washing production process, successfully realizing the recycling of sewage resources, greatly reducing the cost of water purchased from the mine, and at the same time completely solving the hidden dangers of environmental protection of wastewater discharge, taking into account economy and environmental protection.
