  II. Working Principle of Sand Filters

  The equipment adopts a top-down gradient filtration mode. After raw water enters the tank, it is evenly distributed by the water distributor and passes through the graded quartz sand filter layer layer by layer. Large particles of silt and suspended solids are intercepted by the surface sand layer, while fine colloids and micro-impurities are adsorbed and retained in the middle and deep filter media. The filtered water flows out evenly through the bottom collection system. As impurities accumulate, water flow resistance increases; a backwashing mode can be switched on, where the water flow reverses to flush away the sand layer, removing the trapped contaminants and quickly restoring filtration capacity. The entire process is simple to operate and requires no complex manual intervention.
