  II. Working Principle of Cyclone Sand Separators

  The equipment achieves sand-water separation based on the principles of centrifugal sedimentation and density difference separation, eliminating the need for filter media. Pressurized raw water enters the equipment cylinder tangentially, where high-speed rotation creates a powerful vortex. Because the density of sand and silt is much greater than that of water, under the combined action of centrifugal force, gravity, and buoyancy, the high-density solid impurities are thrown against the cylinder wall and settle downwards along the conical wall to the bottom sand collection chamber; the less dense clean water swirls upwards along the axis and flows out smoothly from the top outlet. After sedimentation, impurities can be periodically discharged manually or automatically, ensuring continuous water intake and separation throughout the process, achieving uninterrupted sand removal.
