Underground domestic Wastewater treatment technology refers to the Wastewater treatment technology in which the main structure of the Wastewater treatment facility is buried underground or semi underground. It mainly has the characteristics of small footprint, low noise, no odor, less affected by climate, convenient management, and high processing efficiency.

Underground Wastewater treatment equipment is a modular and efficient Wastewater biological treatment device, which is a Wastewater biological treatment system with biofilm as the purification main body. It fully utilizes the characteristics of biofilm reactors such as anaerobic biofilters and contact oxidation beds, such as high biological density, strong pollution resistance, low power consumption, stable operation, and easy maintenance.

Working principle:

Filtering function: The packing material intercepts and filters large particles and suspended solids in the incoming water

Hydrolysis: Anaerobic microorganisms can hydrolyze insoluble substances of large molecules into soluble substances of small molecules

Absorption function: Anaerobic microorganisms adsorb and absorb organic pollutants in water, partially for their own growth and reproduction, and partially in the form of biogas sealed by U-shaped water

Denitrification effect: Denitrifying bacteria that reflux the effluent from the contact oxidation bed to the anaerobic microorganisms in the anaerobic filter can utilize the nitrate nitrogen in the reflux water and convert it into nitrogen to remove nitrogen substances from the wastewater. The treatment of rural Wastewater by anaerobic filters reduces the concentration of suspended solids, organic pollutants, and nitrogen, as well as the subsequent load on the contact oxidation bed.

Advantages of Underground Wastewater Treatment

Buried below the surface, the surface above the equipment can be used for greening or other purposes, without the need for building houses, heating, or insulation.

The secondary biological contact oxidation treatment process adopts push flow biological contact oxidation, which has a better treatment effect than fully mixed or two-stage series fully mixed biological contact oxidation tanks. And it has a smaller volume than activated sludge tanks, strong adaptability to water quality, good shock load resistance, stable effluent quality, and will not cause sludge expansion. A new type of elastic three-dimensional packing material is used in the pool, with a large specific surface area and easy biofilm formation and detachment by microorganisms. Under the same organic load conditions, it has a high removal rate of organic matter and can improve the solubility of oxygen in the air in water.

The biochemical tank adopts the biological contact oxidation method, which has a relatively low volume load of the filling material, and the microorganisms are in their own oxidation stage, resulting in low sludge production. It only takes more than three months (90 days) to discharge the sludge (using fecal trucks to suction or dehydrate into sludge cakes for external transportation).

The deodorization method of this buried domestic Wastewater treatment equipment not only uses conventional high-altitude exhaust, but also includes soil deodorization measures.

The entire equipment processing system is equipped with a fully automatic electrical control system and equipment fault alarm system, which operates safely and reliably. Generally, there is no need for dedicated personnel to manage it, and only timely maintenance and upkeep of the equipment is required.

Disadvantages of Underground Wastewater Treatment

Not conducive to maintenance, as it is inconvenient to repair and replace equipment after it malfunctions, which is usually the biggest concern for homeowners.

Poor adaptability to the environment, anti freezing in winter and flood prevention in summer. The north needs to be buried deeper and insulated.

Underground Wastewater treatment equipment is suitable for conditions such as small water volume, low pollutant concentration, uncomplicated composition, limited site, and consideration of surrounding environmental beautification factors. Usually, it is recommended to use an underground Wastewater treatment system for the above situations.

Scope of application of buried Wastewater treatment

Hotels, restaurants, sanatoriums, and hospitals; Residential communities, villages, and towns; Stations, airports, seaports, and ships; Factories, mines, troops, tourist attractions, and scenic spots; Various industrial organic wastewater similar to domestic Wastewater.
